Solutions To Resolve McAfee Login Problems

Sometimes, McAfee Login Problems occurred while logging into the account. When you try to log in to the account, either you see a network error or there are some connectivity issues. You are unable to login to the secure home platform or invalid credentials are displayed. Below are the login problems and its solutions.

1) Unable To Login To My Account At home.mcafee.com

Problem

While log in to the account, if there is any McAfee Login problems, either you typing the wrong email address or password. Or the site could be automatically submitting an invalid email address or password that could result in you being logged in with incorrect information.

Solution 

1.Retype your email address 

  • Go to http://home.mcafee.com.
  • Click Log Out (if displayed).
  • Click  My Account, and then click Sign In from the list of options.
  • If an email address is automatically displayed in the field of Email Address , delete it.
  • Then, Type your registered email address and password, and then click Log In.

2. Retrieve your email address or reset your password

  1. Go to http://home.mcafee.com.
  2. Then, click My Account from the list of options.
  3. Click Forgot Your Password? Or Forgot Your Email Address? And follow the on-screen instructions. 

2) When Unable To Login into SHP App :

When you try to log in to the Secure Home Platform (SHP) app on your mobile device with an existing SHP account, your login fails and you see McAfee login problems

Alternatively, you might see one of the following three dialog screens:

  • Create account dialog
  • Email account validation dialog
  • Password recovery dialog

Solution 1 :

If you see a Network error, ensure that:

  • Your device has Internet connectivity:
    1. Try to browse to a website (such as google.com) from the device.
    2. If your device cannot connect to the Internet:
      1. Resolve your device connectivity issue.
      2. Then,Try to log in to SHP again.
  • The Secure Home Platform Router has internet connectivity :
  1. Try to browse from a device connected to the SHP router.
  2. If the SHP router cannot connect to the internet :
  1. Restart the router
  2. Then, Wait for 2 minutes
  3. Again, Try to log in to SHP again.
Solution 2 :

If you see a Create Account dialog after logging in, this means that a Secure Home Platform subscription is not associated with the account you used to log in. You should:

  1. Check to ensure that you are logging in with the correct account. For example, you might be attempting to log in with the account you created when you registered your McAfee LiveSafe product. Because these accounts are different, the LiveSafe account will not be recognized in SHP.
  2. If this is the case, tap Create an Account and follow the prompts to ensure that you have an account which is associated with SHP.

If you are still having account issues, then contact your Secure Home Platform ISP partner (for example, Arris or Humax) for more details about your account.

Solution 3:

If you see either an Email Account Validation screen, or a Password Recovery dialog:

  • Ensure that your device has Internet connectivity:
    1. Try to browse to a website (such as google.com) from the device.
    2. If your device cannot connect to the Internet:
      1. Resolve your device connectivity issue.
      2. After that,Try to log in to SHP again.

         
  • Ensure that your device (smartphone or tablet) is connected to the SHP Wi-Fi network:
    1. Open Settings on your device.
    2. After that, Open the Wi-Fi settings page.
    3. Subsequently, Identify the SHP Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
    4. If your device is not connected to the SHP Wi-Fi network:
      1. Disconnect from the current Wi-Fi network.
      2. In addition, Connect to the SHP Wi-Fi network.
      3. Then Try to log in to SHP again.
  • Check that the Secure Home Platform router itself has Internet connectivity:
    1. Try to browse to a website from a device connected to the SHP router.
    2. If the SHP router cannot connect to the Internet:
      1. Restart the router.
      2. Then, Wait for two minutes.
      3. Again Try to log in to SHP again.

3) Invalid Credentials are displayed :

When trying to log in to true key, the login fails and see one of the following error messages :

  • Invalid Password 
  • Invalid  Email 

Solution :

  1. Confirm that you have an internet connection 
  2. Try logging in using offline mode
  3. Try logging in on a different device.

Sometimes McAfee creates issues in logging the account. In addition If you have difficulty logging into your account, you might be typing the wrong email address or password.
